MEET THE PRESIDENT

William F. “Tripp” Jeffers III, the full-time release president of the Forysyth County Association of Educators, has 13 years experience as a teacher, instructional leader, and advocate for fellow professionals in both NC and VA.   Prior to becoming president, he served as the 1st Vice President of FCAE, and chair of FCAE’s Teacher Working Conditions Task Force, analyzing the concerns found in the NC Teacher Working Conditions Survey completed in local schools.

As a member of NCAE’s Governmental Relations Committee and the Legislative Contact Team, Tripp lobbies lawmakers on a regular basis and coordinates election activities for our local. In doing so, he led the Email Rapid Response Team last year to secure legislative support for higher salaries.

At Parkland Magnet High School, he served as History Department Chair, IB Lead Teacher, and FCAE Senior Representative. As the newly elected FCAE President, Tripp hopes to continue the level of professionalism and activism to which members have become accustomed, as well as strengthen the current relationship with the School Board, pushing for higher wages and better working conditions.
